Personal Care Services

Needing help with the things we have come to take for granted over the years is very common, and even expected, as we age. Our movements slow down, we lose strength and range of motion as well as endurance. Gradually, getting dressed in the morning or taking a shower or bath become more time consuming and physically difficult through the aging process. Suddenly what used to take just a few moments now requires a much larger time commitment and more focus to ensure there are no falls or accidents. The aging process can be frustrating, but it is normal to need personal assistance with day to day tasks. Our Personal Care Companions are trained to provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living such as dressing and grooming, shower and bathing assistance, and even help in the restroom.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia

For adults living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia; living in a place that is comfortable and familiar is of vital importance - and there is no place more comfortable and familiar than your own home!

A diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia does not automatically render a person incapable of living safely in their home. Many people can and do live and age safely in the comfort of their own homes, often with the support of family and friends!

Our Alzheimer’s and Dementia care services offer direct support to a person with dementia through purposeful interactions and companionship. LoveCare Home Care takes the time to get to know the individual with dementia and those close to them. We familiarize ourselves with the individual’s environment (their home, places visited frequently) and routine to offer strategies and support to the individual as well as to the familial care giving team.

As the disease progresses our strategies of care will change in collaboration with the familial care giving team to best meet the needs of the individual at a moment’s notice and to be proactive in addressing changes in condition.

Twenty-Four Hour and Overnight Care

LoveCare Home Care recognizes that the needs of each individual vary and are not time specific. Life happens twenty-four hours a day and LoveCare Home Care is available. We offer twenty-four hour waking companionship, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and personal care.

Each individual needing on-going 24 hour care will be assigned a team of care givers who will work in shifts to ensure the client is never alone and care is always available!

Transportation Services

It can be devastating to no longer have the ability to get in the car and go wherever you like. Fortunately, our Personal Care Companions can assist our clients with all their transportation needs. This service allows our clients to maintain a high degree of independence as they are able to go on social outings, run errands, and keep all their doctor’s and other appointments with confidence. We can provide transportation services using the Personal Care Companion’s vehicle or your own!

Wellness Calls, Wellness Route & Additional Services

Sometimes all we need is peace of mind knowing our loved one is safe. Many people living in their homes do not want assistance or an aide coming in to help for 4 hours. LoveCare’s Wellness Calls and Wellness Route is a great service for those who simply want a personal companion to stop by the home and check on the client as much or as little as needed.

Personal Companions can drop by residences to remind clients to take medications, que client to eat a meal and look after overall well-being, health and safety of the client. The Wellness route is a great service for those not needing or wanting assistance but instead just finding comfort with someone checking in on a scheduled basis.
